Hosaholalu - Temple of Lakshminarayana (Hoysala)

Hosaholalu is 1 km from Krishnarajapet or K.R.Pet. It was earlier called Attiguppe. K.R.Pet is a taluk boasting of various hoysala style temples situated in & around it and this temple of Lakshminarayana of trikootachala style is built by Hoysala kings at around 1100 to 1300 A.D. There are rare sculptures not to be seen at Belur and Halebeedu on the outer walls of this temple. The frontal portion of the temple is probably destroyed and it is covered in front by an ordinary stone wall structure. The Picture given here is the back and side view. There is a special sculpture of a person who is alien to Indian culture and he may be a foreign visitor. K.R.pet is about 155 kms from Bangalore via Ramanagar, Mandya, Pandavapura, Chinakurali.
